Every Skyline drone operator holds an FAA Part 107 certification, the federal license required to legally fly commercial drones in U.S. airspace. It covers airspace rules, weather limits, and safe operating procedure. On top of that, our team is LucidBot certified, trained directly by the manufacturer of our tethered aerial cleaning system on water and chemical delivery, flight behavior around glass and building features, and emergency shutoff procedures specific to building exterior work.

The LucidBot System: Our Faster Clean for Tougher Grime

Our earlier post talked about pure water, or RODI, rinsing, and that’s still the backbone of routine drone cleaning. No chemicals, no residue, just mineral free water that lifts dirt and dries spot free on its own. The RODI is supplied by our state of the art trailer filtration system

Now that we’re running full jobs, we’re also deploying LucidBot’s light soap chemical system for buildings with heavier soiling such as baked on grime, insect residue, or sap that pure water alone takes longer to break down. On a traditional job, that kind of soiling usually means a technician manually scrubbing with a brush or squeegee, which takes time, and time is what property managers are paying for. With the LucidBot system, the light soap solution is delivered through the same tethered line as the water, doing that agitation work chemically instead of by hand, and the drone rinses it clean in one continuous pass.
